Our Story
Playdayle Pre-primary School was established in 1973 as a Community Christian School in the Constantiaberg area.

Being a relatively small school allows our staff to provide quality care and individual attention to our children. Our pre-primary teaching staff are all Degree or Diploma Qualified in Foundation Phase Education. We continually strive to provide an exceptionally high standard of education, while keeping abreast of innovative technology and advancements in the education sector.

Our emphasis is not on size, but on providing outstanding quality at an affordable price. Our aim is to provide a home-away-from-home environment without compromising on the quality of service or on the standard of education.
Playdayle boasts beautiful, well-equipped facilities and a playground any child could get completely absorbed in.​ In addition, we are open for all school holidays except over the Christmas period inclusive of your monthly school fee. During this period, we also offer an exciting holiday programme to older siblings up to Grade 3 on a casual basis.

Our aim is that every child who attends Playdayle will be encouraged to be developed in the Spiritual, Emotional, Physical and Academic areas of their lives. Most important of all is that every child who attends Playdayle will leave with a healthy self-image and the assurance that he or she is unique and very much loved. Simultaneously, we recognise the importance of the holistic development of the child.
From language and literacy development to social skills and creative expression, the children at Playdayle Pre-primary School are constantly being exposed to new activities and environments in which to thrive. Skills and Programs
Learning Through Play
Each class works according to weekly themes, utilising modern teaching methodologies in our School Readiness Programme, with the most current RNCS (Revised National Curriculum Statement) and CAP learning techniques as our reference point.
Speech and Language
In addition to the curriculum, our learners are encouraged to participate in speech development through "show-and-tell". Playdayle also provides the additional services of a Registered Speech Therapist for learners who may require additional help.
Physical Development & Fine Motor Skills
Playdayle offers a wide variety of physical development programmes including Gymnastics as well as a Sports Academy extra-mural where children are taught the techniques and rules of specific ball sports such as cricket, soccer and softball. Furthermore, we offer a Fine Motor Finally, Playdayle has a well-equipped playground providing numerous opportunities for every child to develop gross motor dexterity.
Art Skills & Creativity
At Playdayle, a lot of emphases is placed on the Creative Arts with Music, Drama, Art and Dance forming an integral part of our curriculum. Creativity is encouraged through daily Arts and Crafts activities while extra-murals such as Ballet and Speech & Drama are also offered on the school premises.
Social Skills
We encourage Social Responsibility in our children through their participation in a number of charities and community programmes. Each year Playdayle adopts an impoverished preschool in our local community which our children support by donating toys, books and clothes. We also teach and encourage our children to take care of the environment by planting trees and inforcing recycling. More recently we introduced "Manners 4 Minors" as an extra-mural.

Come Visit
We acknowledge the need for quality childcare and peace of mind for working parents and thus provide you with the option to enroll your child on a half-day or full-day basis as well as offering extended hours of operation. All full-day children are provided with an afternoon sandwich or healthy snack.
